Renovate is a title that captures my life and mission. When Jesus came into the world, he announced a message that was all about total renovation of our lives, communities, and world. He invited us into that mission of renovation.
Bio
I am a husband to Kelly, father of three boys, husband, pastor, musician, small group leader/coach/trainer, and hiker. My favorite things include long conversations with my wife, wrestling with my boys, hikes in crisp Fall air, learning with others, and any sort of pie with vanilla ice cream. I am employed as a Associate Pastor at Brooklife Church, working with the areas of spiritual formation, small groups, worship and arts, operations, and random other things. I graduated with a Masters in Divinity from Northern Theological Seminary and a Bachelors in English and Christian Education from Wheaton College (IL).
Churches Matt has worked with
- Brooklife Church – a church plant in 2008 where I am currently a pastor
- Elmbrook and The Ave Collegiate Ministry – where I served for five years as Pastor of Collegiate Ministries
- Church of the Great Shepherd – a church plant that I was on staff with and helped form right after college
